ECU Marching Pirates headline Southeast N.C. Veterans Day Parade

WILMINGTON | The fifth Southeast N.C. Veterans Day Parade stepped off at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 12, 2022, in downtown Wilmington.

The East Carolina University Marching Pirates and two elite military bands were among the 13 bands marching in the 2022 Veterans Day Parade.

The 208th Army Band and the 2nd Marine Division Band joined more than 75 other units, including several local high school marching bands and more than a dozen veterans’ organizations, in the parade that stepped off at 11 a.m. on Third Street.

In addition to the Marching Pirates and the military bands, the parade will feature these high school marching bands: John T. Hoggard High School Marching Vikings; North Brunswick High School Marching Scorpions; Ashley High School Marching Screaming Eagles; South Brunswick Pride of the South Marching Cougars; Lejeune High School Marching Devil Pups; and DH Conley Marching Vikings.

Additional performers include the N.C. State University Pipes and Drums, Cross Creek Pipes & Drums, Tryon Palace Fife and Drum Corps, Jamestown Pipes and Drums, Wilmington Police Department Pipes and Drums, Beaches & Boots Line Dancers, UNCW Seabelles Choral Ensemble, and bugler Stephen Luck.
